History of the Grand Marais
The Grand Marias building was purchased in 2007 as a Lumber yard. The building was completely renovated resulting in 38,000 luxurious square feet of available space. The Grand Marais opened for business in 2008, with the first wedding in the Grand Ballroom. Since then, we have hosted more than 100 weddings, Rotary Conventions, Bar-B-Que Festivals, and many private and local public Fund Raising Events. The Grand Marais has also hosted local Trade Shows.
Purpose of the Grand Marais
The Grand Marais, located within Jefferson Davis Parish, was created to give the Community a luxurious Center to host special events. The Grand Marias currently has several businesses, including a restaurant, leasing space inside. The Complex sits on 7 acres of land. Five acres of this land is reserved for the Grand Marais’ Large Pavilion and parking space for RV’s and cars. We offer The Grand Banquet Room that has 1500 square feet. It is capable of accommodating 75 guest comfortably. The Special Event Room is 2,400 square feet and is capable of accommodating 150 guests. The Grand Ballroom is 10,000 square feet and capable of accommodating 800 guest. The Grand Ballroom is equipped with an LED lighting system, 6 large TV screens in the main entrance that can be used to display pictures for any event. We also offer a private Brides dressing room with a private restroom.
Functionality of the Grand Marais
The Grand Marais is a fully functional and versatile Center. The luxurious Grand Ballroom sets the perfect ambiance for an elegant Wedding and Reception. The Grand Marais’ room versatility allows for unique tailoring in planning your specific event. The Grand Marais is available for all events.
